Impress Clearly 'A Cut Above' in Package Design

Chatsworth, CA-When Executive Director Paul Marino adds a new piece of equipment he names it, much like a beloved family member. The newest addition, a Gerber Automated CAD Table is appropriately named "Thumper". And like a prolific rabbit, Thumper heightens capabilities at Impress Communications ("Impress") by significantly shortening the turn time needed to quickly produce precision specialty packaging prototypes and even deliver multiples of short-run die-cut projects.
Jeff Chiarella, Director of Production says, "Purpose, fit and case packaging variables are considered right from the very start when we create prototypes; because speed and accuracy are fundamental, our packaging design specialists welcome this upgrade." Marino adds, "Thumper is just one of several essential steps we take to deliver an informed packaging solution. In combination with our unique presses, we have greatly expanded our ability to produce whatever clients envision, from a custom-crafted limited edition presentation package to your basic eco-friendly product carton." He notes that this equipment acquisition effectively positions Impress "a cut above" local competitors.
The Gerber machine operates on a PC-based software and controller which retrieves and manages CAD files. It is designed to cut a variety of substrates and Impress recycles all waste generated by this machine. Additionally, the visual communications company is FSC-certified with access to source paper from responsibly-managed forests.
