Overview:
MetalFX® Technology is a revolutionary printing process that allows standard CMYK inks to be printed on top of a specially formulated high luster metallic-based pigment ink in just one pass. This makes it possible to create an unlimited spectrum of brilliant metallic colors without the added cost of printing multiple spot colors. Impress Communications is now among only 220 commercial printers in the United States with the demonstrated expertise to execute MetalFX® projects.

PIASC 2010 Print Excellence Best of Category Winner. This winning piece consisted of a cleverly designed rendering of a dress that incorporated a zip-strip as the dress zipper, opening up to reveal the contents of the mailer.

Overview:
Impress earns top honor by American Printer as Most Environmentally Conscious Printer for its overall business operation practices, and also secured a Certificate of Merit for Best Environmentally Produced Product. Impress was also the only California-based company in the entire competition that earned recognition.

Intentionally, we wanted to spark conversation, intrigue a prospective client, and deliver both visual and tactile delight. Without a doubt, we demonstrated that a green approach to visual communications can be sophisticated, modern and smartly executed.

Nestle Seducción Premium Choc Bar Wrappers
Overview:
PIASC 2009 Print Excellence Award of Excellence Winner. This series of five attractive embossed wrappers hints that the candy within is a rich and decadent confection. The UV ink colors, dull varnish and spot UV complement the textural feel of the paper, designed to attract chocolate lovers throughout the Latin American retail market where this product made its debut in early 2009.

John Paul Mitchell Systems "Look Behind the Bottle" Booklet
Overview:
PIASC 2009 Print Excellence Certificate of Merit Winner. FSC-certified paper (50% recycled stock with 25% post-consumer waste) is a neutral backdrop that makes the JPMS hair model photos and product shots pop. This 72 page book was printed using 4C process, finished with satin AQ coating and Wire-O binding.

Impress is recognized as a print industry leader for achieving a defined level of environmental excellence in business operations. The American Printer competition honored just 56 organizations nationwide. Impress was one of 10 California printers and the only San Fernando Valley-based firm singled out.
